İmamoğlu's statement on local elections: 'We have no intention of leaving this term'

İBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu spoke at the Kiptaş Kartal Kaper Site apartment allocation lottery.

"WE CANNOT FINISH AT THIS SPEED IN 80 YEARS"

Making assessments regarding earthquakes and urban transformation, İmamoğlu said, "We were shaken by the '99 earthquake. Since that day, everyone has been making an effort. Of course, starting from the government of that period, as well as mayors, we are all serving together. We must see our shortcomings and determine a way forward accordingly."

Stating that the process in transformation must progress faster, İmamoğlu used the expressions, "We cannot finish the transformation at this speed in 80 years. We need to act quickly and not lose time. This is a great mobilization."

İBB Mayor İmamoğlu stated that institutions must work together, saying, "This work has no party or politics. Every citizen living here is very valuable to us. I have always said at this point, let us produce this area together. Let us cooperate, let us come out and say we did it together, that is how it should be. The work did not proceed this way, and efforts are being made so that the work does not proceed this way."

LOCAL ELECTION AND KANAL İSTANBUL STATEMENT

Stating that thousands of social housing units were promised and that the process should not proceed this way, İmamoğlu pointed to the local elections and said, "We have no intention of leaving this term."

Drawing attention to Kanal İstanbul as well, İmamoğlu called on the government by saying, "Leave that work aside, let us solve the nation's business."
