İmamoğlu reacts sharply to Erdoğan's remarks in Hatay: 'He admitted that he did not provide aid just because they did not vote for them'
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu reacted to the remarks made by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Hatay.
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's remarks at the candidate introduction meeting in Hatay continue to remain on the agenda.
In his statement, Erdoğan had said, "If the central government and local government do not work hand in hand, if they are not in solidarity, that city will not receive anything. Did it come to Hatay? Currently, Hatay has been left abandoned".
İBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu also reacted to these remarks, which caused controversy in the public eye.
"HE ADMITTED THAT HE DID NOT PROVIDE AID JUST BECAUSE THEY DID NOT VOTE FOR THEM"
Stating that it is "an expression of intentionally not providing aid," İmamoğlu said, "He is trying to scare the nation, supposedly because there is 1 month left until the election. These expressions are not to be taken lightly; these expressions are a matter for medicine. In front of earthquake survivors, he admitted that he did not provide aid just because they did not vote for them. I leave such behavior to the conscience of society."
"HE IS IN NEED OF PSYCHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS"
Using the words "Erdoğan is in need of psychological analysis," İmamoğlu said, "What kind of mentality is this? They will learn on March 31 that the nation is the master. The nation is the master, not you. Our nation will not swallow this threat. This nation will give such an answer to this threat... You will see that the response to this threat of yours will be millions."
