İmamoğlu recounts his meeting with Kılıçdaroğlu: 'With Kemal Bey, the crown of my head...'
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu explained the details of his visit to the home of former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu to a citizen. İmamoğlu referred to Kılıçdaroğlu as "Kemal Bey, the crown of my head."
IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu visited former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu on Tuesday (August 20, 2024).
While it was reported that the meeting, which lasted over an hour, focused primarily on the Party Bylaw Congress, İmamoğlu shared the details of his conversation with Kılıçdaroğlu with a citizen.
'THE CROWN OF OUR HEAD'
In response to the citizen saying, "We are very pleased with your visit yesterday," İmamoğlu replied, "It had to happen; I always call and check in." When the citizen added, "It cleared away the speculations in the public eye," İmamoğlu said the following:
"I have never had that with anyone. What would happen with Kemal Bey, the crown of my head? How could such a thing be? I told him, 'I didn't come to take a photo in your office; I wanted to visit you, to ask how you are, and to have a chat,' and so I went. I asked how he was, and I said let's have a conversation. Let's meet often, visit us, attend our openings, come to our ceremonies. You have a place of honor with us. I have no other agenda. The crown of our head."
Here is that conversation:
