Imamoglu responds to Bahceli: 'He must be confusing me with someone else'

Responding to journalists' questions about the agenda following the program, Imamoglu stated the following regarding the issue of an alliance:

"As Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was part of our past alliance and is still, in fact, a mayor of that alliance, I say that I am very confident in building an alliance, both politically and at the grassroots level of society, until the very last moment. I will maintain my confidence in this matter until the end. I would wish for a great alliance to be formed, first at the grassroots level and then as a political alliance at the top, but even if one side remains incomplete, the thing I value most is the great alliance we will build in the hearts of the nation."

RESPONDED TO BAHCELI

Responding to the remarks Bahçeli made targeting him during yesterday's parliamentary group meeting, İmamoğlu said: "I am already at home; perhaps he is confusing me with someone else. Today, I am in the Esenler section of my home." he stated.

Speaking at his party's parliamentary group meeting yesterday, Bahçeli sent a message regarding the local elections, saying, "We will send the mayor, who occasionally stops by Istanbul in his spare time if he feels like it, back home."

When a journalist reminded him of Bahçeli's words during a press briefing, İmamoğlu said, "I have never responded to those remarks. I am already at home; perhaps he is confusing me with someone else. I work very hard at home, and today I am in the Esenler section of my home. Let them follow us, let them keep watching."
