İmamoğlu speaks in Bağcılar: 'Because they don't understand the citizens' plight...'

İBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu spoke at the opening ceremony of the Bağcılar Social Life Center.

Upon a young person expressing their affection through sign language, İmamoğlu stated, "From now on, there will be a friend with us in every speech I give who will interpret in sign language."

İmamoğlu continued his remarks as follows:

"NO ONE CAN COMPETE WITH US"

"Bağcılar is a very special place. I can explain a few of the things we have done. We have İSKİ investments that solve infrastructure problems. We have completely re-evaluated these projects. By increasing the utility factors and adding many functions, we have ensured that it transforms into a magnificent space. We have our nurseries, youth center, parking lots, women's service centers, regional employment office, and city restaurant. The list goes on and on. No one can compete with us when it comes to giving the nation's money back to the nation. If they have something to say, if they have the courage, let them come and tell the 32 thousand 322 mothers in Avcılar alone who use the mother card whatever it is they want to say."

"THEY DON'T SHOW THEMSELVES BECAUSE THEY FEAR RETIREES WILL HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS PERSECUTION..."

"Our budget is very fruitful. Our budget is in the hands of hygienic, meritocratic, and moral people. Even though we use half the budget they do, we provide many times more services. Because they don't understand the citizens' plight, it wouldn't occur to them. If they had built nurseries or distributed public milk before us, how would they have done it? They would put someone in between. They would put someone in between while distributing the nation's money to the nation. We don't let anyone come between us and the nation's money, my friend. We didn't just increase social support; we cleaned up the system. They don't show themselves because they fear retirees will hold them accountable for this economic persecution; we are not like that, we drop by the market unannounced, we visit the tradespeople. No good will come to this city from a person who puts distance between themselves and the citizens. For 5 years, Istanbul has been advancing on the path of action, investment, and service. It is advancing on the path of love and beauty. This path is not the path of a handful of people, but the path of the public."
