The CHP Group met in a closed session today with the participation of Chairman Özgür Özel. The group unanimously decided to nominate Ekrem İmamoğlu as its presidential candidate.

Following the officialization of his presidential candidacy, Ekrem İmamoğlu made a statement on his social media account.

My presidential candidacy has been made official by unanimous vote in our Party Assembly and our TBMM Group.

In his statement, İmamoğlu included the following remarks:

My presidential candidacy has been made official by unanimous vote in our Party Assembly and our TBMM Group.
