IMM Mayor İmamoğlu thanks AKP's Yıldız

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu thanked Beyoğlu Mayor Haydar Yıldız for attending the opening ceremony.

Thanking AKP's Haydar Ali Yıldız, who accompanied him on stage, Ekrem İmamoğlu said, "This courtesy, this image is the Turkey that society desires."

İmamoğlu held the opening of the Piyalepaşa Square and Underground Parking Garage. The parking garage and square project was implemented in Piyalepaşa as part of the "Piyalepaşa Mosque Surroundings Arrangement Project" carried out in the Kaptanpaşa neighborhood of Beyoğlu. Beyoğlu Mayor Haydar Yıldız also attended the opening ceremony.

In his opening speech, Ekrem İmamoğlu said, "I would like to welcome many of our friends, especially our esteemed Beyoğlu Mayor, our Avcılar and Sarıyer Mayors, and our Beyoğlu mayoral candidate who is accompanying us." After the ceremony, Haydar Ali Yıldız came onto the stage. A photo was taken on stage.

"THIS IMAGE IS THE TURKEY THAT SOCIETY DESIRES"

Taking the two candidates beside him, İmamoğlu said, "This photo is important for this reason. Who does the office we call the mayoralty belong to? It belongs to you. It belongs to our nation. Here, both I and my esteemed fellow mayor are taking on a position that belongs to the citizens as a trust. We are striving to fulfill that duty in the best way possible. Look, our Avcılar Mayor and our Sarıyer Mayor are with us. What is important is to provide this image in democracy. This has two conditions. One, while we are holding the ceremony here, it is our duty to fulfill the responsibility of invitation. Would it have had any meaning if he hadn't come? What is beautiful is that he also responded to this invitation. Therefore, this mutual courtesy, this image is the Turkey that society desires. Of course, my heart wishes for İnan to win. The decision belongs to the nation," he said.

Following İmamoğlu's words, Haydar Ali Yıldız spoke as follows:

"Mr. Metropolitan Mayor, my esteemed fellow mayors, my esteemed neighborhood heads, I greet you all with love and respect. Of course, the human is essential. Service to humanity is essential. The best and most beneficial of people are those who serve people. This is our understanding. Cities, like people, have changing needs over time. As a person from this region, the arrangement of this parking garage and this square here was very important. It was a project from the past to the present. I would like to thank the esteemed mayor, our late Mayor Kadir Topbaş who contributed to the preparation of this project in the past period, and everyone who contributed, individually."
