Immunity files for 4 deputies, including Özgür Özel, are at the TBMM
The immunity dossiers concerning Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel and three other deputies have reached the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), and the files will be evaluated by the Joint Committee.
New dossiers regarding requests to lift the legislative immunity of deputies have been submitted to the Presidency of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. These immunity files, forwarded to the Assembly by the Presidency, have been transferred to the agenda of the Joint Committee, which consists of members of the Constitutional and Justice Commissions, following an initial review.
Among the submitted files are the dossiers for CHP Chairman and Manisa Deputy Özgür Özel, as well as CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır, CHP Ankara Deputy Umut Akdoğan, and IYI Party Bursa Deputy Yüksel Selçuk Türkoğlu.
The Joint Committee will begin evaluating these new applications regarding the process of lifting legislative immunity for the deputies in the coming days.
