Investigation launched against Kılıçdaroğlu for 'insulting the President' following his Newborn Gang post!
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an ex officio investigation into former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu on charges of 'publicly insulting the President'.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office examined the statement made by Kılıçdaroğlu on his social media account, in which he quoted a post made by President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the social media platform X on October 18, which read: "We only look with pity at those who try to vent their anger at being stabbed in the back by constantly insulting others on social media. No matter what they do, they will not be able to escape being remembered as the forgotten, bad memories of the old Turkey."
Evaluating that the expressions in Kılıçdaroğlu's post could constitute the crime of "publicly insulting the President," the prosecutor's office launched an ex officio investigation into Kılıçdaroğlu.
