İYİ Party Chair Candidate Kodaz: I was ignored
İYİ Party Chair Candidate Günay Kodaz stated, "As the only female candidate, I was constantly ignored in a party that claims to be a women's movement."
Following the March 31 Local Administration General Elections, the İYİ Party, which decided to hold an extraordinary congress, is determining its new chairman. Koray Aydın and Müsavat Dervişoğlu are competing for the chairmanship at the 5th Extraordinary Congress.
Speaking before the voting, İYİ Party Chair Candidate Günay Kodaz pointed out that labor, merit, knowledge, consultation, diligence, and keeping one's word should prevail in their party, stating, "We are a party founded against the culture of allegiance that the AK Party has spread in this country.
We must not resemble what we criticize. Unfortunately, many different voices have been silenced in our party. As the only female candidate, I was constantly ignored in a party that claims to be a women's movement," she said.
