İYİ Party Erzurum Provincial Chair and district chairs join AKP

İYİ Party's former provincial and district chairs have joined the AKP. The former Erzurum Provincial Chair and district chairs of the İYİ Party have moved under the AKP umbrella. Former İYİ Party provincial chair Fatih Güneyin, Yakutiye district chair Ömür Dadaş, Aziziye district chair Osman Temur, and their organizations resigned from their party to join the AKP.

AKP Erzurum Provincial Chair İbrahim Küçükoğlu spoke at the ceremony held at the party's provincial headquarters. Stating that they have kicked off the March 31, 2024 local government elections, Küçükoğlu noted that they have completed the candidate nomination process and determined their candidates through preliminary polls, surveys, and public opinion research. Touching upon the candidate announcement process, Küçükoğlu said that in line with the schedule set by the headquarters, they will announce their candidates starting from metropolitan mayoralties on February 7 and February 15.

Stating that they held a similar event to previous party participation programs in Erzurum, Küçükoğlu expressed his happiness in welcoming those who joined from the İYİ Party. Emphasizing their commitment to serving the city in unity and solidarity, Küçükoğlu welcomed the new members.

In his speech, Fatih Güneyin, who joined the AKP, thanked them for the well-organized event and stated that they would be proud to serve as soldiers of the AK Party from now on.

At the end of the program, party badges were pinned on those who moved from the İYİ Party to the AKP, and a group photo was taken.
