Karamollaoğlu's 'rent' criticism of Erdoğan: 'Who is the reason for rising rents?'

Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu made statements at his party's group meeting.

Highlights from Karamollaoğlu's statements are as follows:

"WHO IS THE REASON FOR RISING RENTS"

"We are obliged to understand the conditions we live in as a country. We are pushing the small fish to the big fish. But it hasn't done any good. We continue to object to economic policies that make the rich richer and the poor poorer.

President Erdoğan brought a citizen who is having problems with their landlord onto his agenda. He addressed the landlord, saying, 'Do you have no conscience?' The citizens are also addressing Erdoğan, 'Do you have any fairness at all?' Who is the reason for rising rents?

The President also called a mayor; he has been in power for 21 years but has never questioned himself. He doesn't remember at all what he said a few years ago. Is this a disease, or is it indifference?

KHK VICTIMS

KHK victims cannot reach the President. Once again, we address the President from the podium:

Why are our citizens who were acquitted but cannot return to their jobs in this state? Turkey's problem is not just rent; there is interference in the justice mechanism, there is lawlessness. We have young people who have fallen into the swamp of drugs, we have citizens who have fallen into the hands of the mafia. Our people's voices are not as strong as they used to be. When they raise their voices, they cannot raise them again when they see the hammer coming down on their heads."

The government does not care about what the opposition says. Today, there are hundreds of thousands of our citizens trying to make a living below the hunger threshold. 11 thousand 400 liras... When the President makes a comparison, he goes back two years. Unfortunately, today we have retirees condemned to 7 thousand 500 liras. Bread has exceeded 10 liras. Milk is approaching 20 liras, eggs are approaching 100 liras... Those who do the shopping at home put the receipt in front of me so I won't be surprised. Going out for a shopping trip has reached figures that the mind cannot comprehend.

"389 VILLAGES PUT UP FOR SALE"

"They are going one step further. Now, areas in villages that have turned into neighborhoods with the metropolitan law have been put up for sale by tender. Every place suitable for agriculture is being destroyed. Villages that have been emptying out for a while are now being handed over to capital owners. In Ankara alone, 389 village lands have been put up for sale in bulk. This is a complete disaster.

Because there is no suitable pasture in the villages in Ankara, citizens are sending their animals to slaughter. They are drying up agriculture from the roots. Unless this trend is stopped, there will be famine."
