Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu criticizes Özgür Özel on two issues! 'You are the chairman now'

After losing the CHP chairmanship election to Özgür Özel and opening an office in Ankara, the 7th Chairman of the CHP, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, made statements to Halk TV columnist İsmail Küçükkaya.

Kılıçdaroğlu revealed for the first time the details of the two meetings he held with Özgür Özel, one of which took place before the handover ceremony.

Stating that he conveyed his thoughts and warnings to the new main opposition leader, Kılıçdaroğlu noted that he shared private anecdotes, saying, "You are the chairman now. You have the right to know these things."

He listened carefully and took notes. At one point in our long conversation, he said that Özgür Özel is an honest person. He said, 'He does not get involved in financial misconduct.'

'HE EXPRESSED HIS CRITICISM ON TWO ISSUES'

I asked one or two concrete questions about political developments. For example, regarding the candidate debates...

By saying, 'I no longer discuss these with Mr. Özgür. Even if he asks me, it wouldn't be right. He is the Chairman,' he showed that he has drawn a very correct and ethical framework. When Mr. Özgür asked, 'How do you see it?' during their second meeting, he expressed his criticism on two issues. He told me about them 'off the record' again."
