Kılıçdaroğlu: If a person is obsessed with their seat, I am saying this for Netanyahu, they will even bomb a hospital

CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu made statements regarding the current agenda at his party's TBMM Group Meeting.

In his statement, Kılıçdaroğlu said, "The truth of life, the truth of history; the 100-year-old Republican People's Party stands like a fortress, addressing the people's problems and striving for solutions."

Stating that "prices have been paid in this country over 100 years," Kılıçdaroğlu added, "One of those who paid the price is Ahmet Taner Kışlalı. He is a person we all respect for his pen, his knowledge, and his teaching. I visited his family. His study has not been touched at all. What matters is the richness of thought, the richness of the mind. May intellectuals not be silenced; that is my greatest wish."

'NEWS OF A BRIBERY RING AT THE COURTHOUSE'

Commenting again this week on journalist Timur Soykan's report on the 'bribery ring at the courthouse,' Kılıçdaroğlu said, "Last week, we devoted a large space to justice. I brought up a petition written by a chief public prosecutor in Istanbul to Ankara and stated that gangs had formed within the judiciary. In the tradition of the state, in a 100-year-old Republic of Turkey, a chief prosecutor has never written a petition to Ankara saying that gangs have formed within the judiciary. If a prosecutor says that gangs have formed within the judiciary, it means the knife has reached the bone."

Kılıçdaroğlu continued: "We must all accept that the foundation of the state is shaking. Afterward, they brought an access ban to the news. You can say whatever you want, but go out to the street right now, ask every conscientious citizen if there is justice in Turkey, and they will say no. But for a courageous chief prosecutor to voice this is important for our history of justice."

Reacting to the access ban on the news, Kılıçdaroğlu said: "These are pathetic men. They think, 'We brought an access ban, Kılıçdaroğlu won't talk at all.' Who are you! I am defending the rights and laws of 85 million people, not yours. Even if your master comes, they can never silence us."

REACTIONS TO ISRAEL'S ATTACKS

Reacting to Israel's attacks on Palestine and the states supporting Israel, Kılıçdaroğlu noted:

"You see innocent children being slaughtered before the eyes of the whole world. You see women being killed, you see the elderly being killed. Where? In Palestine. What are the leaders of those so-called states who define themselves as part of the civilized world doing? Are they stopping the bloodshed? No! If they weren't ashamed, they would applaud.

More than 2,000 children have been slaughtered, nearly 5,000 people have lost their lives. Can a hospital be bombed! But if a person has lost their mind, if they no longer see anything, and if they are obsessed with their own seat—I am saying this for Netanyahu—they will even bomb a hospital."

CRITICISMS OF THE GOVERNMENT'S FOREIGN POLICY

Criticizing the government's foreign policy, Kılıçdaroğlu said, "Turkey used to come to mind as the first country to solve the problems in the Middle East. Turkey would lead the Islamic world. They would confidently knock on our door and ask for their problems to be solved. Turkey has lost this trust. The Middle East has turned into a ball of fire. Our people are shouting 'let us be a mediator,' but no one hears their voices. Because Turkey has ceased to be a country that inspires trust in its foreign policy."

Kılıçdaroğlu continued: "I said that the language used in foreign policy must be very careful. I said do not use foreign policy as material for domestic politics. They said harsh things. They fought with Egypt. For the Middle East to turn its face to us means turning to democracy."

REACTION TO ERDOĞAN

Reacting to AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Kılıçdaroğlu said, "America sent two aircraft carriers. Erdoğan is shouting, 'Where is the US, where is the Mediterranean? What are you doing there?' Now, shouldn't I ask, 'What is your son-in-law doing on an American aircraft carrier?' You will not play a double game. You will be honest and honorable."

100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE REPUBLIC

Giving a message regarding the 100th anniversary of the Republic, Kılıçdaroğlu stated: "We will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Republic on the 29th. We will celebrate its 100th year. We founded the Republic with blood and tears. We paid heavy prices. When the country was under enemy occupation, our fathers, our grandfathers, our mothers fought great struggles. While we were founding the Republic, while we were fighting the National War of Independence, oppressed countries were also fighting their own wars; they took us as an example. They also founded Republics. Because they knew that the Republic of Turkey was a state that led all those oppressed states."

STATEMENT ON THE MOTION

Evaluating the Syria and Iraq motion, Kılıçdaroğlu said, "In its 100th year, foreign soldiers are being invited to Turkey with the votes of this government and a party that supports it. For what? We are supposedly going to fight terrorism. If a government, in the 100th year of the Republic of Turkey, does not trust its own army regarding the fight against terrorism and invites a foreign country's soldiers to Turkey, then that government has nothing left to give to this country."

Kılıçdaroğlu said: "I doubt their patriotism. This country's army, police, and village guards have been fighting for 35-40 years. In the 100th year of the Republic, they are going to invite foreign soldiers to the Republic of Turkey. I said it, and I am saying it again. We do not want foreign soldiers' boots on these lands!"

100TH ANNIVERSARY EVENTS

Touching upon the 100th anniversary events of the Republic, Kılıçdaroğlu noted:

"'Well, sir, this is happening in Palestine, let's postpone the festivities...' they say. Are you going to have another celebration in 100 years? I guess they understand festivities differently. To commemorate, to celebrate the 100th year, means for scientists, artists, and tradespeople to speak. It means visiting Anıtkabir. It means visiting the graves of our martyrs. It means having fun, laughing, and thus celebrating the 100th year."

REACTION TO THE QATAR AMBASSADOR

Kılıçdaroğlu also reacted to Turkey's Ambassador to Qatar, Mehmet Mustafa Göksu.

"Our Ambassador to Qatar postponed the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Republic, but the gentleman went to a wedding himself," said Kılıçdaroğlu, adding, "I looked at the photo, friends. I said this cannot be a member of the Foreign Ministry. Because I have met many ambassadors in my bureaucratic life. Our ambassadors are honorable; they do not stand with their hands clasped in front of anyone. They never compromise on that representation."

Kılıçdaroğlu continued: "In the photo taken at the wedding, his two hands are in front of him, standing between two people like a scolded cat. I swear I said this cannot be an ambassador trained by the Foreign Ministry. I asked who this man is; it turns out this person is not someone trained by the Foreign Ministry."

"LONG LIVE THE REPUBLIC"

Finally, Kılıçdaroğlu said: "The Republican regime means a form of state with democracy. Atatürk said, 'We must bring democracy' 10 years after founding the Republic. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk says, 'The Republic is the protector of the unprotected'... Long live the Republic, long live the Republican People's Party!"
