Kılıçdaroğlu responds to Kurtulmuş: 'Our nation is fed up with such cheap manipulations'

Former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu responded to Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş via his X account. 

Kılıçdaroğlu said the following to Kurtulmuş, who stated, "The Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) is not a place to be assigned tasks by any institution":

"Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş said, 'The TBMM is not a place to be assigned tasks by any institution.' Our nation is fed up with such cheap manipulations…

Mr. Kurtulmuş; the TBMM fulfilled its duty regarding Hatay MP Can Atalay. His name was read out as a Member of Parliament, and he was elected as a member of the Human Rights Commission. It is not the Parliament that is failing to do its duty here, but you, as the Speaker of the Parliament.

You are the one who cannot protect the rights of an MP elected by the nation, and who cannot call the Minister of Justice to say, 'Your so-called judicial crisis does not concern us; the Constitutional Court has had the final word, and Can Atalay must be released.'

Do not distort the issue and hide behind the Parliament; fulfill the requirements of that office."
