Criticizing CHP Chair Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's words, "Whoever speaks against the party after the congresses, whoever makes the party a subject of discussion on television, no one should take offense, I will remove them from the party," Özel stated the following:

''The Chair says, "I will put those who speak out after the convention out the door." For a convention that hasn't even been held yet, I promise not to put people out on the street, but to open the doors of the family home. Tanju is my brother. If it were up to me, I would open the doors to him, but I cannot respond to this with the rules of a period where the institutions and boards of the Republican People's Party have been eroded. I do not find it right for a Chair to exercise the powers of elected boards, and I would not find it right for myself either. Amnesty is within the authority of the Party Assembly. The Party Assembly will be determined on December 5th.''

''WE ARE NOT ASPIRING TO ANY POSITION''

Continuing his remarks, the Chair candidate said, "Both in our Chair's team and in our team, there are very valuable, experienced elders who have served the party for long periods in the past. There is a difference. The experienced friends in our Chair's team who have worked together for a long time say, 'The Chair will continue, and we will continue.' Our senior friends in our team, however, say, 'Change starts with us.' They say, 'We are not aspiring to any position; we are by the side of the young cadres, we are behind them'" he stated.
