Kılıçdaroğlu's 'staffing' visit to DEVA Party district chairs: DEVA Party Deputy Chairman İdris Şahin confirms!

It has been alleged that Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu met secretly with some DEVA Party district chairs in Istanbul. While it was claimed that the DEVA Party members would resign from the party today following this meeting, it was alleged that in exchange for some of the DEVA Party district chairs Kılıçdaroğlu met with joining the CHP, DEVA Party Esenyurt District Chair Halis Kahriman would be given a mayoral candidacy.

FIRST REACTION FROM DEVA

The first reaction to the meeting in question from the DEVA Party came from the party's Deputy Chairman, İdris Şahin.

Quoting a post containing the allegations that the DEVA Party members would resign from the party following this meeting, he reacted to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu by saying, "It's a pity. It didn't suit you, Mr. Kemal."

In a statement to journalist Sema Kızılarslan, Şahin also confirmed the allegations that the DEVA Party members had decided to resign.

"IT SADDENS US THAT THE OPPOSITION IS DEALING WITH EACH OTHER"

Speaking to Kızılarslan, Şahin also said the following:

"This meeting is unfortunately far from courtesy. We vouched for Mr. Kemal until May 14. We had previously stated that we would not vouch for him after that. It saddens us that the opposition is dealing with each other while the country has important, urgent issues."
