The voting process for the Party Assembly (PM) and High Disciplinary Committee (YDK) elections at the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress has concluded.

Following the completion of the printing of ballot papers at the CHP Congress held at the Ankara Sports Hall, the voting process, which continued at 23 ballot boxes for the PM and YDK elections, has been completed. After the ballot boxes were closed, the vote counting process began.

The vote counting process for the Party Assembly and High Disciplinary Committee elections has ended. A total of 490 people applied for candidacy for the PM and YDK.

The 60-member Party Assembly is elected with 52 people from among the Party Assembly candidates and 8 people from among the Science, Culture and Art Platform candidates.

According to the results, the highest votes in the Party Assembly election were received by Istanbul deputies Gökan Zeybek and Özgür Karabat, who were on the list of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel. Istanbul Youth Branch Deputy Chairman Bedirhan Berk Doğru became the third person to receive the most votes.

IŞIK HAD BEEN DISMISSED, BECAME THE 4TH NAME ELECTED TO THE PM

Ozan Işık, the General Secretary of the Istanbul Youth Branch, who had been dismissed after reacting harshly to the appointment of Zafer Party member Anıl Ulukuş as an advisor to CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu during the post-election change debates, became the fourth person to receive the most votes.

DEPUTIES WHO ENTERED THE PM

Many deputies who supported the change movement after the election also earned the right to enter the Party Assembly. These names are Istanbul Deputy Gökan Zeybek, Istanbul Deputy Özgür Karabat, Izmir Deputy Deniz Yücel, Ankara Deputy Gamze Taşçıer, Izmir Deputy Murat Bakan, Istanbul Deputy Suat Özçağdaş, Balıkesir Deputy Ensar Aytekin, Adana Deputy Burhanettin Bulut, Sivas Deputy Ulaş Karasu, Zonguldak Deputy Deniz Yavuzyılmaz, Çanakkale Deputy Özgür Ceylan, Isparta Deputy Hikmet Yalım Halıcı, Bursa Deputy Orhan Sarıbal, Ankara Deputy Semra Dinçer, and Izmir Deputy Gökçe Gökçen.

Changes were made to the list determined after the voting process due to gender and youth quotas. Diyarbakır Deputy Tanrıkulu, as well as Oğuz Kaan Salıcı and Nevaf Bilek, who prepared the “Balance and Audit List,” were left off the list due to the gender quota.

According to the news in Gazete Duvar; 9 people from Salıcı's 'Balance and Audit List' broke Özel's key list and entered the Party Assembly. These names were Müslüm Sarı, Orhan Sarıbal, Mehmet Tüm, Ali Haydar Hakverdi, Semra Dinçer, Koza Yardımcı, Aylin Nazlıaka, Saniye Barut, and Gonca Orhan.
