Lists posted: 24 candidates to compete for Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor

The lists regarding the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor candidates, central district mayoral candidates, provincial general assembly, and municipal council memberships were posted at the Ankara Provincial Election Board building this morning.

In this context, 19 political party candidates and 5 independent candidates will compete for the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor candidacy.

The names of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor candidates according to the party order on the ballot paper are as follows:

• Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party): Gültan Kışanak
• Communist Party of Turkey (TKP): Ali Ufuk Arıkan

INDEPENDENT CANDIDATES

The positions on the ballot paper for the 5 candidates whose applications for the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor candidacy were accepted were determined by a draw held by the Ankara Provincial Election Board on Friday.

As a result of the draw, independent Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor candidates Korkut Cesur took the first place, Suat Karaman the second, Lokman Cengiz the third, Mustafa Sanğu the fourth, and Yunus Murat Güztoklusu the fifth place.

These individuals, whose candidacies have been finalized, will be listed from left to right on the ballot paper to be printed for Ankara, following the 19 candidates nominated by political parties.
