Lokma distribution held in memory of Ferdi Zeyrek in İzmir

The CHP İzmir Provincial Presidency held a lokma distribution event in all 30 districts of İzmir to honor the memory of the late Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek. As part of the event, CHP İzmir Women's Branch President Zahide Kurun and CHP İzmir Provincial President Şenol Aslanoğlu served lokma to citizens in front of the provincial headquarters building.

According to the report in Cumhuriyet, CHP İzmir Provincial President Şenol Aslanoğlu, who made statements to the press during the event, stated that the early loss of Ferdi Zeyrek caused deep sorrow. Aslanoğlu said, "Mayor Ferdi is a mayor we lost truly too soon; every death is early, but his loss has seared our hearts. He won the election in Manisa with 60 percent in a very short time. Every time we went to his events, we saw the public's favor. It is truly difficult to fill his place. Everything we say about him remains incomplete. His memories will shed light on our struggle," he expressed.
