Major clash between Veli Ağbaba and Osman Gökçek! 'There is a troll child in front of me'

Tensions rose in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) during the deliberations on the 'Proposal for Amendments to the Turkish Commercial Code and Certain Laws'.

CHP Malatya Deputy Veli Ağbaba reacted to the AKP government regarding the economic crisis, stating, "If you just silence that great economist, everything will improve. You are masters of manipulation. You have no fault in anything. Cucumber prices went up, who is to blame? The cucumber. There was another enemy, who was it? The onion. What did you do? You raided onion warehouses. You made the people exchange dollars at 3 liras, now the dollar is 30 liras, but not a single AKP deputy exchanged their dollars. Tear down the one-man regime and everything will improve. Stop the waste. Ministers travel around provinces in minibuses. One minister went to Malatya recently. How did he go? By private jet. Stop the corruption, theft, and ostentation."

"THERE IS A TROLL CHILD IN FRONT OF ME"

According to the report by TELE1; AKP's Osman Gökçek interrupted Ağbaba, who was continuing his speech at the podium. Angered by this, Ağbaba replied to Gökçek, "There is a troll child in front of me, and I do not engage with a troll child. Don't act like a troll. You're an adolescent troll. You are a troll."

Taking the podium after Ağbaba, AKP's Osman Gökçek recalled the Rome visit that Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu made with journalists. Gökçek claimed that the money spent on İmamoğlu's trip came out of the pockets of the people of Istanbul.

This is very important for the 2037 World Olympics to be held in Istanbul. They stayed there for 1 night. They had one dinner. They ate the meal provided by the Olympic committee. There is no waste here."

“OSMAN, WHY DID YOU TAKE OFFENSE?”

Subsequently, Ağbaba returned to the podium and said to Osman Gökçek, "I didn't name anyone. Osman, why did you take offense? Melih Gökçek resigned. Why did he resign? You made his son a deputy. Why did he resign? You forced him to resign because he sold Ankara off in parcels. Your father has been a civil servant since 1984. He served as the Mayor of Keçiören. He served as a deputy. He served as the Mayor of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. With what money did he buy Beyaz TV? With what money did he buy the sports club? Anyone who gets rich from being a deputy is a thief. Know your place when you speak. You have become wealthy at this age and you come here talking about dinner. I challenge you: let Veli Ağbaba's assets be investigated, let yours be investigated, and let your father's be investigated. Shall we?"

'I brought Beyaz TV to this state'—well, Mehmet Ali Birand would turn in his grave if a man of your intelligence brought that channel to this state... Look, brother, if you had any shame, you wouldn't mention a deputy's spouse and children. Both my wife and my children eat honest bread. Has a single slice of honest bread ever passed through your throat? If you are a deputy, it is the greatest insult to your colleagues. Do you know why your father was dismissed?
