Management of CHP Aydın's Facebook page transferred to headquarters
Control of the CHP Provincial Presidency's social media account in Aydın has been assumed by the party's headquarters management. This development follows the judicial process regarding the cancellation of the party's convention.
Following the decision by the 36th Civil Chamber of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice regarding the cancellation of the Republican People's Party's (CHP) 38th Ordinary Convention, the management of the Aydın CHP Provincial Presidency's Facebook account has been taken over by the headquarters, which was appointed on an interim basis.
In a statement issued by the CHP Aydın Provincial Presidency, it was noted: "Following the absolute nullity decision, the control of the Facebook account belonging to our CHP Aydın Provincial Presidency has been taken over by the Headquarters management, which was appointed as a precautionary measure. Therefore, posts to be made from the CHP Aydın Provincial Presidency Facebook account from this moment on will not be carried out by us."
Following the decision, it was stated that no posts would be made by the party's local organizations via the Facebook page. How the process will take shape and what path will be followed in the management of social media accounts will become clear in the coming days.
While this measure is considered an important step in terms of intra-party management and social media usage, it has also caused discussions within the CHP community.
