Mansur Yavaş's 'Council' call to Ankara residents: 'With a majority never seen in history...'

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and CHP's candidate for the new term, Mansur Yavaş, spoke at the opening of the Sincan Election Coordination Center.

Criticizing the AKP administration, Yavaş said, "Which is the right service; concrete and plastic, or ensuring the public earns money?"

Stating that they have been blocked in the projects they wanted to carry out so far, Mansur Yavaş complained, "We have requests that have been waiting in the municipal council for 8 months; have some fear of God."

Yavaş stated, "I went to the President, and I didn't lose anything; I made requests for the people of Ankara. Except for one or two, none of the district municipalities in Ankara have even seen my office. They didn't come and ask for anything for their own districts. When it comes to talk, they say everything is for my district. No. I am not engaging in partisanship; I am extending my hand, yet none of them make any requests because someone from above has forbidden it. They love their parties more than their districts and their fellow citizens. However, after being elected, partisanship ends."

"THEY WILL SUPPORT WITH A RECORD VOTE"

Saying, "You see the polls; the decision of the people of Ankara is in this direction: they will hopefully support us with a record vote in a majority never seen in history, that is what it looks like," Yavaş added, "But if we do not have a majority in the council, unfortunately, we are treated like a lame duck."
