Portakal stated that among the names supporting Mansur Yavaş are Koray Aydın and members of the former team that supported Kılıçdaroğlu. Evaluating this situation, Portakal said, “It is good for the sake of democracy, but this division could create question marks regarding what kind of administration they would display if they come to power.”

He commented that the division between Yavaş and İmamoğlu in the CHP is a harbinger of a new era in the party.
