Mansur Yavaş explains why he is not a candidate! 'The three of us...'

The CHP Ankara Provincial Advisory Board Meeting was held at the Republic Academy. The meeting was attended by CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir, Deputy Chairmen Gamze Şengel Taşcıer, Ensar Aytekin, and Gülşah Deniz Atalar, members of parliament, party assembly members, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Mayor Mansur Yavaş, and CHP mayors in Ankara.

The program began with a moment of silence for Atatürk and the martyrs, followed by the National Anthem.

"THE THREE OF US WILL COME TOGETHER AGAIN WHEN THE ELECTION APPROACHES AND WE WILL REVIEW EVERYTHING AGAIN"

ABB Mayor Mansur Yavaş made the following remarks regarding his meetings with CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, as well as the CHP's presidential primary debates:

"In all the work I do, I say this, and I have also discussed it with the Chairman. A primary will be held, and I have said that we have no objection to this; the decision is theirs. However, I am of the opinion that 'there are still three years left, let our municipalities work and focus more on the problems of the citizens so that satisfaction increases and our vote share rises.' The three of us will come together again when the election approaches and we will review everything again. This will never be labeled as a split or a difference within the CHP. I have said that I will do my part and will not be involved in any image that would reveal or imply that the CHP is divided or fragmented. I repeat this. Because our goal is one. It is for this government to change now.

"WE DO NOT HAVE THE LUXURY OF BEING INVOLVED IN ANY SELF-SERVING PROJECT"

When it suits them, they say, 'I found this to be correct, everyone will think like me, those who do not think like me are traitors...' Three years later, they change their minds and say, 'No, I think this way now, you will think like me, those who do not think like me are traitors...' Well, you were saying that two years ago. 'That was then, this is now.' There is a government that tries to include the opposition in all the policies they explain, and after failing, blames the opposition again. Now, after seeing this success in the municipalities, they constantly carry out operations through the municipalities and create great fear in society by using the stick of the judiciary. For this reason, while there is a government that needs to be changed, we do not have the luxury of being involved in any self-serving project."

SUCCESS AND SATISFACTION RATES MEASURED

Stating that he also had the success and satisfaction rates of district mayors measured, Yavaş said:

"In Elmadağ, satisfaction is 75 percent. Those who say 'I will vote for CHP' are 46 percent, and those who say 'AK Party' are 29 percent. We need to work a little more. In Kalecik, satisfaction is 87 percent; 33 percent say 'I will vote for CHP', and 43 percent say 'AK Party'. We need to work a little more. In Şereflikoçhisar, satisfaction is 87 percent. 44 percent say 'I will vote for CHP', and 26 percent say 'AK Party'. In Beypazarı, satisfaction is 84 percent. For the first time as a party, CHP is at 36 percent, AK Party is at 34 percent. There is a 77 percent success rate in Güdül. CHP is at 35 percent, AK Party is at 38 percent. I can give the good news that we will be the leading party there soon as well. In Nallıhan, the success rate is 91 percent. 44 percent say 'I will vote for CHP', and 31 percent say 'AK Party'. In Ayaş, satisfaction is 70 percent; 35 percent say 'I will vote for CHP', and 38 percent say AK Party. With a little more effort, hopefully, we will be first there too. The vote share in these places had not exceeded the 10, 15-20 percent level.

ALSO CONDUCTED A PRESIDENTIAL SURVEY

Satisfaction in the Metropolitan Municipality continues at a rate of 63 percent. For the first time, CHP reached 40.8 percent as a party in Ankara. AK Party is at 28 percent. In a possible presidential election, CHP is first with 48 percent, and the AK Party candidate is second with 37 percent. If we increase these efforts a little more and stand by the tradesmen, villagers, farmers, and low-income earners, the greatest proof of what will happen if the government changes is the change in the municipalities. Whatever work was not done in the past is now being done."

"WE MUST CROWN THE MARCH 31 SUCCESS WITH GOVERNMENT"

Yenimahalle Mayor Fethi Yaşar emphasized that politics cannot be done only with criticism and that solution proposals must be presented clearly, stating:

"Party programs are important, but we are not a society that reads. Politics is not done only with criticism. If you are criticizing those in power, you need to say how you will fix it and how you will do that issue better than them. Our programs contain everything about Turkey's future, but if everyone in the party speaks the same language on the same issue and says the same thoughts wherever they go, then that issue remains in the citizen's mind. Is there high cost of living in the country? Yes. Is there inflation? Yes. Is there a production shortage? Yes. Is the added value produced being shared fairly? It is not. Let it be explained to the public in simple language how we will increase this national income and how we will distribute it. When we come to power, we must explain to the public correctly how we will fix the legal order, how we will grow the economy, and how we will strengthen the national income. The Turkish people gave us a premium on March 31. We must crown that premium with government."
