Mansur Yavaş is coming to Istanbul

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Mayor Mansur Yavaş is heading to Istanbul following the large-scale detention operation carried out in the city. 

Yavaş, who will act in coordination with Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, announced that they will closely monitor the developments from Istanbul.

HE CUT HIS TAIWAN CONTACTS SHORT 

Yavaş decided to cut short his contacts for the Smart Cities and Business Forum held in Taiwan. Yavaş, who was in Taiwan as part of the forum, decided to cancel his program and return to Turkey following the developments.

Speaking to TELE1, Mansur Yavaş stated regarding the detention operations, "We will all gather there and monitor the situation. We will be in Istanbul together with the Honorable Chairman."

''I HAVE SUSPENDED MY CANDIDACY DECISION'' STATEMENT  

Mansur Yavaş also reacted strongly to the decision to revoke Ekrem İmamoğlu's diploma. Stating that he has halted his decision regarding his political future until the injustice is resolved, Yavaş had said, "I am suspending my decision regarding candidacy until this injustice is eliminated." 

While it is stated that the CHP Chairman will also come to Istanbul to personally follow the process, the CHP leadership and mayors are expected to present a display of solidarity.
