Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş has reacted on the social media platform X to Google's Mustafa Kemal Atatürk removal of the "Founder of the Republic of Turkey" title from search results.
Yavaş stated that the necessary respect must be shown for Atatürk's legacy and title.
A SECOND WARNING FROM YAVAŞ
Yavaş had made a similar criticism approximately 6 months ago and called on Google to correct Atatürk's title to "Founder of the Republic of Turkey." Following previous reactions, Google had listed Atatürk as "Former President of the Republic of Turkey" had corrected the expression and added the correct title. However, it has been observed in recent days that this title has been removed again.
