Mansur Yavaş reacts to party congress lawsuit: 'It should have been dismissed'

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş has reacted to the postponement of the lawsuit filed for the cancellation of the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress, which held its third hearing today. Criticizing the decision by the Ankara 42nd Civil Court of First Instance to postpone the case to September 8, 2025, Yavaş stated that the lawsuit should have been dismissed outright.

Pointing out that the prolongation of the judicial process aims to wear down the CHP and the opposition, Yavaş said, "Even if this case is presented as if it were not political, the public conscience has formed an opinion to the contrary."

Making statements on the social media platform X, Yavaş emphasized that not only the CHP but all opposition parties should display a common stance against the lawsuit.

"WE WILL OVERCOME DIFFICULTIES SHOULDER TO SHOULDER"

In the continuation of his statement, Yavaş noted that the opposition has remained resilient despite the political and social pressures experienced in recent years, stating, "We have the strength to overcome all kinds of difficulties by standing shoulder to shoulder."
