Mass resignation in İYİ Party: Provincial and district chairs depart

İYİ Party Sakarya Provincial Chair Ahmet Uçak announced that he has resigned from the party along with six district chairs accompanying him.

“OUR CAUSE IS THE CAUSE OF TURKEY”

In his written statement, Uçak included the following remarks:

"Regardless of the consequences, we have stood tall against those who make these calculations, and we will continue to do so. Our cause is the cause of Turkey, and our passion is the passion for Sakarya."

“WE SET OUT NOT FOR SEATS, BUT FOR THE LOVE OF OUR HOMELAND”

Uçak noted the following in his statement:

"I see with sadness that service has turned into self-interest, and merit has turned into personal calculations. My colleagues and I did not set out on this path for seats, but for the love of our homeland. We have never forgotten that positions are temporary, while honor and stance are permanent. If the position of provincial chair becomes an obstacle to speaking the truths we believe in and defending the interests of Sakarya, we will not stay in that position for even a second. Although I have resigned from my post and the İYİ Party as of this moment, I will continue to work as a son of Sakarya."

NAMES WHO RESIGNED

In addition to his own resignation, Uçak announced that Akyazı District Chair Bekir Uzun, Geyve District Chair Remzi Sönmez, Hendek District Chair Fatih Bayındır, Sapanca District Chair Ali Ceylan, Söğütlü District Chair Necati Acar, and Taraklı District Chair Yakup Kara have also stepped down from their duties.
