Mayor expelled from CHP welcomes Kılıçdaroğlu with a banner
Ahead of the holiday greeting program at the headquarters for Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was temporarily appointed as CHP Chairman, a banner opened in the name of Yazıhan Mayor Abdulvahap Göçer, who was expelled from the party on February 5, became a topic of discussion.
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was appointed as acting Chairman of the Republican People's Party (CHP) following the decision of the Court of Appeal, is set to meet with party members to make statements at the "Public Holiday Greeting" event to be held at the party's headquarters. Hours before the program began, a large number of party members gathered in front of the headquarters building.
One of the most notable details of this gathering was the arrival of Malatya Yazıhan Mayor Abdulvahap Göçer, who was expelled from the party on February 5 by the decision of the CHP High Disciplinary Board, and the banner bearing his name. A banner reading "Malatya-Yazıhan Municipality says Kılıçdaroğlu" was displayed in front of the headquarters.

Göçer's participation sparked a new debate within the party community. Göçer, who was expelled from the party on charges of indisciplined behavior and "attitudes contrary to party principles and obstructing congress processes in a manner inconsistent with the bylaws," had stated in a previous announcement that "since the administration elected after the 38th Grand Congress is null and void, the decisions it has taken are also null and void."
