Mehmet Şimşek gives the order: Tax audits will increase

Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek announced that audits will be tightened for businesses with discrepancies between their tax declarations and earnings.

In a statement made via his social media account, Minister Şimşek said, "We are increasing our audits of businesses that abuse their dominant market power and have discrepancies between their earnings and tax declarations."

'WE WILL STRENGTHEN JUSTICE IN TAXATION'

In his statements, Minister Şimşek also noted that they would not allow attempts to turn to the informal economy to gain a competitive advantage in taxes, stating, "We will further strengthen justice in taxation."
