Melih Gökçek bombarded the program Mansur Yavaş attended with questions: 'We are used to it now'

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş was a guest of İsmail Küçükkaya on Halk TV. Küçükkaya stated that he was bombarded with messages from Melih Gökçek after he learned that Yavaş was a guest.

Küçükkaya said that when Melih Gökçek wanted to face off with Mansur Yavaş at the Democracy Square, he told him, "Melih Bey, you are not a candidate," and that the messages stopped after this response.

"OUR DEBT HAS DECREASED BY 1.9 BILLION DOLLARS"

Küçükkaya stated that one of Gökçek's questions was about the municipal budget, and when he directed the question to Yavaş, the response was as follows:

"We are the first municipality in Turkey to report a financial status report. Our debt has decreased by 1.9 billion dollars. This is in our financial status report. This is our badge of honor," he said.

RESPONSE TO THE CLAIM THAT HE BOUGHT A HOUSE IN LONDON

Regarding the claim that he has a house in London, Yavaş stated, "My daughter went there to work. She went because she couldn't find a job in Turkey. She had been renting for many years. In 2020, I took out a loan and sent her some money, and she bought a house with a mortgage. They keep bringing this up and saying Mansur Yavaş has a house in London. It's not even in the center, it's 35 kilometers outside."
