Meral Akşener makes statement about her political career during Tekirdağ visit: 'I have always helped others get elected'

Starting her Tekirdağ program in the Marmaraereğlisi district, Akşener visited local shopkeepers.

Accompanied by the İYİ Party's Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate Mehmet İlker Atasever, Akşener requested support for her party's mayoral candidates.

Later moving on to the Muratlı district, Akşener spoke on Mustafa Kemal Street, where she expressed her condolences for those who lost their lives in a traffic accident in the Saray district yesterday.

Stating that they are closely following the situation of retirees and teachers who have not been appointed, Akşener criticized the government's policies.

"UNTIL TODAY, I HAVE ALWAYS HELPED OTHERS GET ELECTED. FOR THE FIRST TIME, I AM ASKING FOR VOTES FOR MYSELF"

Reminding that there are only a few days left until the election, Akşener said:

"In this election, I am asking for votes for both our mayoral candidates and for myself. If our party emerges from this election truly strong for the future, I will show how opposition is conducted in the process leading up to 2028, and how one can be the voice of the citizens and the nation while acting as the opposition.

Our nation is our benefactor. I will show how to conduct opposition based on your demands and your troubles. Until today, I have always helped others get elected. For the first time, I am asking for votes for myself. I am saying that I have reached out my hand. Take my hands and see how opposition is conducted."

Later moving on to the Hayrabolu district, Akşener visited shopkeepers on Alpullu Street.

Akşener was accompanied during her visits by İYİ Party Tekirdağ Deputy Selcan Hamşıoğlu, İYİ Party Provincial Chair Gökhan Metiner, and party members.
