MHP begins meetings in 81 provinces

In the process that began following MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's speech on October 22, the terrorist organization PKK, whose leader Abdullah Öcalan had called for laying down arms, announced that it had dissolved itself. While the question of where and when the weapons will be surrendered remains on the agenda following the dissolution decision, Bahçeli instructed his party to organize meetings in 81 provinces.

MHP Deputy Chairman Semih Yalçın made a statement regarding the content and dates of the meetings. The statement included the following remarks: 

-The "Terror-Free Turkey" step taken by our Chairman, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, last October has found resonance in the public conscience and has received positive reactions from all segments of society and various political circles. This situation has demonstrated both the accuracy of the timing of our party's implemented policy and the appropriateness of the step taken.

-The social expectation that terrorism, which has caused great harm to our nation and cost Turkey dearly for over forty years, should now be ended, that an end should be put to adding new names to the list of martyrs and veterans, and that no further costs should be paid, has coincided with our Chairman's excellent assessment that the time has come for the scourge of terrorism to be removed from the agenda. As is known, the ideal of Turkish nationalism, which aims to make our nation prosperous and our state strong and superior, has long been based on a progressive, modernist, and solution-oriented political philosophy.

-The political and cultural accumulation upon which Turkish nationalism rests is not limited to the returns of the struggle waged by the MHP since the year it was founded. The MHP is nourished by a massive historical source that is the work of our nation, from the ideal of establishing order in the world, which reflects a rich state and management concept with a solid social structure spanning thousands of years. The MHP is the very consciousness of existence present in the essence of our nation. Therefore, dominant roles and great responsibilities have fallen to the MHP throughout its political life. It is the same today.

History has imposed new and great responsibilities on the MHP in the new century and has entrusted it with vital current tasks. Our Chairman, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, who, as a political theorist with a powerful pen and speech who foresees the future, has made the "Leader Country Turkey in the 21st Century" ideal adopted by the Nationalist-Ulkücü Movement, has deemed the reorganization of existing political parameters essential on the path to this blessed Red Apple goal.

Thus, the MHP has shown that it has identified early on the need for a decisive paradigm shift in the face of the regional and global conjuncture that has become increasingly unbalanced and chaotic in the new century we have entered.

Our Chairman has seen that in the 21st century we are experiencing, the conjuncture in the world and the region is changing rapidly; and that Turkey is facing a new regional and global encirclement reminiscent of the pre-World War I era. He has rolled up his sleeves to save our country from this nascent imperialist encirclement and to give a new independent direction to Turkish state policy and Turkish diplomacy.

In this framework, with the common consciousness of the People's Alliance, the MHP has taken the Terror-Free Turkey initiative as a continuation of the "Leader Country Turkey in the 21st Century" ideal, with the aim of ensuring the consolidation of internal peace and the reinforcement of social unity and integrity in order to be both resilient and deterrent against internal and external factors.

This accurate initiative of our Chairman has disrupted the games of international actors who see terrorism as a means to weaken Turkey and exert pressure on it.

The political calculations of circles that are the tools and pawns of global imperialism's dark intrigues within the country have also come to nothing.

Internal and external centers with dirty calculations on Turkey have this time begun to appear as opponents of the terror-free Turkey step embraced by the People's Alliance.

Counter-propaganda and negative perception studies have been accelerated by the aforementioned circles, who see that the political material in their hands has been exhausted and its expiration date has passed.

Efforts have even been made to create a justification and base for opposition to a terror-free Turkey through the families of martyrs and our veterans.

In particular, attempts have been made to create confusion in public opinion with black propaganda claiming that concessions are being made to the PKK and the DEM Party, and that the MHP is supposedly being used to legitimize the PKK.

In response to all this, it is important that the political steps taken by our Chairman in the context of his wise assessments spread to a wide sociological base, and that the justification of the MHP's arguments and views be explained by reaching the most remote corners of the homeland.

On the other hand, the MHP and the Nationalist-Ulkücü Movement, by virtue of their historical function, must maintain their power in the public conscience and their dominant role on the political stage.

This is, in a sense, a requirement for the survival of our nation and the existence of our state.

In this regard, in line with the instructions of our Chairman, it has been decided that our party will organize regional meetings under the theme of NATIONAL UNITY AND SOLIDARITY MEETINGS FOR A TERROR-FREE TURKEY - CENTURY-OLD UNITY, ETERNAL BROTHERHOOD.

Our party aims for lasting peace, tranquility, and prosperity through social consensus and national unity. Undoubtedly, the "Terror-Free Turkey" goal will be realized with all members of society embracing this process and with state-nation solidarity. A terror-free Turkey will be a Turkey where human rights and freedoms are strengthened, and which is more democratic and more prosperous.

ANNOUNCED THE DATES

As a requirement of the national responsibility and constructive political understanding it carries, our party will organize these planned meetings in a way that covers 81 provinces in 9 regions with the theme "Century-Old Unity, Eternal Brotherhood".

The locations and dates of the regional meetings to be held with 9 of our provinces as centers (Erzurum, Istanbul, Tokat, Van, Eskişehir, Ankara, Denizli, Adana, Gaziantep) are as follows:

Saturday, August 9, 2025, hosted by our Erzurum province; Ardahan, Artvin, Bayburt, Bingöl, Gümüşhane, Rize, Trabzon, and Tunceli.

Saturday, August 16, 2025, hosted by our Istanbul province; Çanakkale, Düzce, Edirne, Kırklareli, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Tekirdağ, and Zonguldak.

Saturday, August 23, 2025, hosted by our Tokat province; Amasya, Erzincan, Giresun, Ordu, Samsun, Sinop, Sivas, and Yozgat.

Our meetings will be attended by; chambers of commerce and industry, chambers of agriculture, chambers of tradesmen and craftsmen, professional associations and unions, non-governmental organizations, associations and foundations, associations of martyrs and veterans, local administrators, mukhtars, and all our citizens will be invited.
