MHP comments on Israel-Iran tension: This war will also affect Turkey

MHP comments on Israel-Iran tension: This war will also affect Turkey

The airstrikes launched by Israel against Iran's nuclear facilities on the morning of June 13 have pushed tensions in the Middle East to their peak. As part of the operation dubbed "Rising Lion," the Israeli military targeted Iran's high-ranking military personnel. At least 20 senior commanders belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps lost their lives in the attacks.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu argued that the attack was "inevitable for Israel's survival" and announced that the operations would "last for days."

Approximately 18 hours after the first airstrike, Iran retaliated against Tel Aviv with hundreds of ballistic missiles. Some of the missile strikes hit buildings in Tel Aviv. So far, 3 Israelis have lost their lives and 91 people have been injured in Iran's retaliation.

FIRST ASSESSMENT FROM MHP

The first assessment of these volatile developments has come from the MHP front. MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız stated that the conflict in the region would not be limited to Israel and Iran, and that Turkey could also be directly affected through proxy wars.

In his statement, Feti Yıldız expressed the following:

“The rising tension in the Middle East directly threatens Turkey's security. The emphasis on a ‘terror-free Turkey’ that Devlet Bahçeli has been making for years has become much more critical in this period.”

BAHÇELİ'S CALL FOR “ELIMINATION, NOT SOLUTION”

In his statement, Yıldız also recalled the speech MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli delivered at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) on October 22, 2024. In that speech, Bahçeli emphasized that the terrorist organization PKK must lay down its arms and made a direct call to the organization's leader, Abdullah Öcalan.

Following this call, the PKK, which went to a congress on May 5, announced that it had dissolved itself on May 12, 2024. Feti Yıldız argued that this development would contribute to the peace of not only Turkey but also the region.

Yıldız stated that the conflict on the Israel-Iran axis could evolve into a new regional war and that Turkey must be cautious in this scenario. He used the following expressions in his statement:

“The crisis in the region will lead to the deepening of proxy wars. Turkey must protect its border security on one hand, and remain vigilant against structures trying to sabotage its internal peace on the other.”

"READ THAT SPEECH FROM BEGINNING TO END ONCE MORE"

Stating, "While trying to understand and explain these developments in our region, definitely read the magnificent historical speech our Leader Mr. Devlet Bahçeli made at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey group meeting on October 22, 2024, from beginning to end once more," MHP's Feti Yıldız expressed the following in a post on his social media account:

"Approximately 200 warplanes participated in the airstrikes called 'Operation Rising Lion' carried out by Israel against Iran on the night of June 13, 2025.

Iran's nuclear and military capacity is still under fire.

In the coming days, proxy wars in the region will also gain momentum.

While trying to understand and explain these developments in our region, definitely read the magnificent historical speech our leader Mr. Devlet Bahçeli made at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey group meeting on October 22, 2024, from beginning to end once more.

To those who cannot understand the established judgment sentences, those who do not want to understand, and those who do not see or ignore the great and blessed goal, let us recall a few sentences from this revolutionary historical speech in Turkish politics..

'It is possible and even mandatory to address every issue in the TBMM and solve it with national and common sense.' 'The Turkish nation is not obliged to live with separatist terror.' 'There is no problem whose root we cannot dry up.'

Can we evaluate this manifesto separately from the political-military developments in our region?

Place that statement of our leader Mr. Devlet Bahçeli side by side with his statement dated June 13, 2025…

'If military, economic, and strategic preventive measures are not taken against this vile machine of ignorance and crime that periodically attacks Palestine, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, and Iran before the eyes of the world; and that constantly gets in Turkey's way, the world will become open to every possibility.'

Follow the leader, listen to him...

Those who chatter in the face of the goal of a terror-free Turkey, you be quiet for a while..!"
