MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli's Eid al-Adha message: Warning on a new 'opening' process

MHP leader Bahçeli has released a message for Eid al-Adha. In his message, Bahçeli stated, "A Turkey without terrorism will be the eternal holiday of the Turkish nation, and a tremendous legacy will be entrusted to the future and the hopeful generation of the future."

Stating that "The Turkish nation is a great family," Bahçeli said, "No honorable member of this family has been marginalized, belittled, or despised. With the removal of bloody and illegal weapons and goals, the magnificent power of the new century will be Turkey and the Turkish nation. I hope that we reach the peace we need and the unity and solidarity we desire and aim for on the occasion of these holiday days, and that we attain the grace of this blessed period."

The act of sacrifice (Qurban) holds an important place in our religious and national life as one of the spiritual opportunities and means to earn the pleasure, grace, and bounty of Almighty Allah.

It is possible to explain and express the deep meaning of this act of worship as closeness to God, sacrifice for the people, and relief for the needy.

I thank God that we have once again been able to perform the act of sacrifice and have reached the Eid al-Adha, which is the reward for this worship.

If holidays are celebrated in accordance with their true meaning and spirit, the sphere of influence of hardship and resentment will weaken and leave its place to the permanent reunion of hearts.

Patience, loyalty, sincerity, and common sense are of effective weight at the core of our faith and human value judgments.

Furthermore, it is certain that our life plan, which is surrounded by love and respect and validated by faith and will, will materially and spiritually develop and strengthen our social and communal structure.

As long as we spread and reflect these in every part of life, no one, no internal or external hostile focus will be able to prevent the establishment of a permanent environment of peace and tranquility.

The Turkish nation arouses open or hidden admiration in the world of humanity with its benevolent, peace-loving, justice-loving, charitable, hospitable, and patriotic characteristics.

For this reason, it is the target of treacherous pincers and jealousies that reach the point of hostility.

Moreover, there is no question of any melting or reduction in the course and process of potential and expected negative, cursed, and oppressive counter-operations from now on.

As long as we keep our fortress of national unity and solidarity strong, and as long as we defend the environment of internal peace and brotherhood together, it will undoubtedly become impossible to speak of the offensive and governing effects of any kind of evil and malicious operations.

Our Turkey is making progress with claim and will in the lane of a new century.

The success and stability of this progress, and furthermore, the climbing to the summit of a leader country and superpower, depends on the common effort and honorable existence of our noble nation.

A Turkey without terrorism will be a historic achievement in this process.

It is a requirement of human dignity and the right to belief that every region of ours and every person of ours lives every day as a holiday, and that embracing and integration are crowned.

Holidays are the cherished and respected periods of making peace and forgiving, as well as permanent understanding and moral bonding.

In addition to this, holidays are the source of unity and peace, and a gift of solidarity and cooperation.

The veins of provocation and domination must be dried up.

The direction and administration of our national destiny will be ensured not from mountains or caves, but from the capital Ankara, with the founding principles, foundations, and prestige of the Republic.

The golden opportunity our country has seized must not be missed.

In this context, historical responsibilities fall upon the homes of all of us and everyone.

Our country and our ideals must be protected with awareness, clearly and transparently, without allowing for procedural or stylistic mishaps, and by excluding impositions and hidden agendas.

Only in this way will the spirit of the holiday take root, will Turkey turn into a place of celebration from head to toe, and will civil and democratic politics gain depth and breadth.

One of the bonds that makes us who we are and binds us tightly to our roots and identity is such days and periods full of meaning.

The Turkish nation, with the inspiration and prestige it receives from its past and traditions, and with its enviable national and spiritual value provisions, is paving the way for the new century and showing the determination, faith, and fortitude to get rid of its chronic problems.

This is a development to be mentioned with admiration and appreciation.

Both as a party and with the spirit and stance of our alliance, we are working, striving, and burning the midnight oil for a Turkey that is completely purified from its problems, growing, and rising with power.

Despite black propaganda, fake news, baseless claims, slander, and unfair accusations, we never compromise on our struggle, and we will not.

Let no one have any doubt that we carry the word, values, and goals of the Turkish nation with excitement.

We courageously defend our noble national existence, our honor of independence, and our thousand-year-old law of brotherhood.

We know what we are doing, what we possess, and where we want to arrive, and we carry this in our hearts.

We will sacrifice our animals for the sake of Allah during the holiday; but we will not give an opportunity to those who try to cut our homeland in two or butcher our people.

We will offer sacrifices to perform our obligatory worship; but we will not tolerate those who attempt to sacrifice the existence of the nation.

We will not let Turkey and the Turkish nation be sacrificed to the low-level people who have shelved their dignity and locked their national and human values in the cellar of their minds.

We will not sacrifice our future to the wretched whose faces are not seen due to hypocrisy, denial, and treachery, and we will not let our people be wasted.

Especially during the holiday, it is our national and spiritual duty to increase cooperation and solidarity, to spread sharing and distribution, and to reach out to those in need, those stranded, and those in difficulty.

To prevent those who are pleased with our pain, those who rejoice in our losses, and those who wait with hope for our division from seeing the environment they seek and the dark days they long for, we must stand against them with our shared feelings during the holiday days; we must become an insurmountable fortress with national, moral, conscientious, and heartfelt values.

It is obvious that we have no other option for the conspiracies established against the thousand-year-old law of brotherhood, the attacks organized against the existence of the homeland and nation, and the intolerance shown toward Turkey's future to remain ineffective forever.

With these feelings, I celebrate the Eid al-Adha of all our citizens and wish them all years full of health, happiness, and safety from Almighty Allah.

I pray that the Muslim world, which is struggling with instability, reaches peace, prosperity, justice, and security as soon as possible, and I congratulate the blessed holiday of our brothers living in the Turkish-Islamic geography with my prayers.

I greet our brothers who are performing the Hajj pilgrimage and pray that their worship is accepted and well-received.

I consider it important for our citizens who hit the road during the holiday break to obey traffic rules in terms of life and property safety.
