MHP responds to IYI Party's 'noose' gesture: 'An attempt to save its rope'

The repercussions of MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli's remarks regarding Abdullah Öcalan during his party's group meeting continue. Another reaction to Bahçeli's invitation for Öcalan to speak at the Parliament podium came from the IYI Party. Speaking at the IYI Party group meeting, Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu recalled the death penalty call Bahçeli made for Öcalan years ago, when he addressed Erdoğan while holding a noose. Throwing the noose he held on the podium, Dervişoğlu stated, "You have hanged the loyalty of this nation. Now take this rope and hang it at the head of your bed."
