Mücahit Birinci issues warning to AKP on 'absolute nullity' and İmamoğlu: 'Don't say I didn't warn you, the price at the ballot box will be heavy'

Mücahit Birinci, who was referred to the disciplinary board with a request for permanent expulsion from the AKP after his name appeared in documents related to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) stock exchange scandal and who resigned from the AKP before the decision was made, has made a striking post on his social media account.

Birinci, one of the former members of the AKP's Central Decision and Administrative Board (MKYK), issued warnings to his former party in his statement regarding the "nullity" (butlan) discussions on the agenda and the imprisoned presidential candidate and İBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.

Birinci warned the party leadership that the decisions to be taken could lead to irreversible political consequences.

Selahattin Demirtaş has been inside for about 10 years.

Those who stood behind Demirtaş were doing so under the instructions of the senile man on the island and the people in Qandil. They pulled back so he wouldn't find an opportunity to rise.

This time is different!

You are organically growing your own nightmare with your own hands. You continue to grow it. When you bring a person to the zero point, they wait as a zero. They wait like meat in a deep freezer. It doesn't spoil... It doesn't go to -5, it stays at 0.

But those who bring it to the zero point cannot wait. Those who bring it are constantly and continuously eroding and going into the negative. Unfortunately, time is not on our side this time; for the first time, it is on the side of those waiting inside and outside (including abroad).

You are organically paving the way for a man (and his team) who has no diploma, who hasn't driven a single nail into Istanbul throughout his İBB presidency, and whose true nature has been and continues to be understood by the public, by laying solid stones one by one in a way that is impossible to reverse.

The issue of nullity is not like the previous ones;

expanding the operation,

lowering interest rates during the pandemic,

failing to eliminate FETÖ in time,

shooting down the Russian plane,

or the initial Syria policy...

It is not a subject that causes damage but can be (partially) compensated for.

You knew the public 25 years ago.

But a lot of water has flowed under the bridge. The public is no longer the public you knew and understood.

Their reflexes are very sharp and conscious.

I am of the opinion that there is enough time to think and decide comprehensively and wisely, before entering an irreversible path, without incurring both economic and political costs.

I am telling you; don't say I didn't warn you later, the price at the ballot box will be heavy.
