Muharrem İnce reacts to Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç: "Now it is your turn to be uneasy"

Memleket Party Chairman Muharrem İnce has strongly reacted to the remarks made by Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç regarding the protests that began following the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.

In a post on his social media account, Muharrem İnce stated: "The Justice Minister has spoken, saying, 'We will not allow those who want to disturb the nation's peace.' Hey, Justice Minister, have you left any peace for the nation? The only ones who have peace in this country are you and your cronies. Now it is your turn to be uneasy!"

WHAT DID YILMAZ TUNÇ SAY?

Yılmaz Tunç had used the following expressions regarding the protests of citizens who took to the streets to react to the detention of Ekrem İmamoğlu: "The right to assembly and demonstration is a fundamental right. However, street calls made over ongoing judicial investigations are unlawful and can never be accepted. Those who want to disturb the peace of our nation will never be given an opportunity."
