Murat Kurum takes a jab at Ekrem İmamoğlu and Özgür Özel over 'Kılıçdaroğlu'! 'Actors of the politics of daggers...'

Murat Kurum, the People's Alliance candidate for Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor, attended the opening of a public garden in Bayrampaşa alongside AKP Istanbul Deputy Mustafa Demir, Bayrampaşa Mayor Atila Aydıner, and the People's Alliance Bayrampaşa mayoral candidate İlknur Kovaç Bayraktar.

Speaking after the opening, Kurum targeted CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and İBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, referencing Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

"This CHP has a co-chairman, you know that, right? Lately, he has been obsessing over us out of worry and panic. He is playing politics in his own way," Kurum said, continuing his remarks as follows:

"Although such baseless statements are expected from Özgür Özel. Because his political record and history are full of zeros. They underestimate the nation's memory, yet this nation remembers that Özgür Özel is someone who yesterday made the greatest insults to our people's faith. He is the person who described the values of the great Turkish nation as a 'Middle Ages mentality.' He is someone who made the greatest insults to Quran courses, our children there, our teachers, and their families. The mentality that caused pain to our Erbakan Hodja during February 28 is the same as their mentality, because Özgür Özel is a member of a mentality that utters all kinds of vile words against the revival of this generation.

Today, in this sacred city that is the legacy of Fatih, they are supporting to the end marginal groups that would put dynamite at the root of the family institution. These are the ones who hired and provided income to the relatives and associates of the traitors who martyred Prosecutor Selim Kiraz in his office a few years ago. Those who appear to be democrats but stab their own party leader in the back are the actors of the politics of daggers. Those who do not draw strength from the values of this nation, who do not take inspiration from glorious Turkish history, who take inspiration from dark agencies, and who take directives from UK-based lobbies cannot say a single word to us. We are like a rock; these words will only take dust off this rock, if anything."
