Murat Kurum uses Ekrem İmamoğlu's 2019 words

AKP's Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate Murat Kurum began his election campaign in Istanbul's Fatih district following the official announcement of his candidacy.

Kurum and his team visited the Tomb of Fatih Sultan Mehmet in the courtyard of the Fatih Mosque and the grave of former IMM President Kadir Topbaş.

EMPHASIS ON URBAN TRANSFORMATION AND TRANSPORTATION

Making statements to the press after the visit, Kurum stated that they would have two main priorities, saying, "One is transportation, the other is urban transformation. Beyond that, we will take steps to ensure that living in Istanbul is peaceful and safe, and to bring it to the level of contemporary civilizations—which was also Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's dream—with its green and blue, at world standards."

USED IMAMOĞLU'S WORDS

Saying, "We will build an Istanbul where the youth are happy," Kurum continued as follows:

"This is also very important. Our youth will manage our municipalities with us in 39 districts. They will graduate from university, and we will partner with them in the areas we will open there. We will take steps for the development of this city together with them."

Kurum, who drew attention by using the words of IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu, said, "We have excitement, we have youth, we have energy."

İMAMOĞLU HAD SAID IT IN 2019

In the 2019 local elections, Ekrem İmamoğlu had said, "Our path is long, our excitement is high, we have our youth. We are the Turkish youth, thirsty for justice, with full faith in democracy. And we will never give up!"
