Müsavat Dervişoğlu makes statement regarding resignations in İYİ Party
Speaking about the recent resignations in his party, İYİ Party leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu stated, "If our party continues to rise under current conditions, it means we are not being negatively affected by these resignations."
İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu arrived in Isparta for a series of contacts and visits.
Dervişoğlu, who visited his party's provincial headquarters there, made statements to members of the press.
THEY WILL VISIT DEMİREL'S MAUSOLEUM
Meeting with party members, Dervişoğlu said in his statement that they were in the hometown of the Ninth President Süleyman Demirel and would visit his mausoleum.
Stating that Demirel was one of the architects of a developed, great, democratic, free, and prosperous Turkey, Dervişoğlu expressed that following his legacy was a duty and responsibility for them.
Dervişoğlu stated that as the İYİ Party, they would continue their journey by following in the footsteps of these political figures, adding: "We will continue to pursue the virtues and achievements of democracy. You will not see us speaking anything other than the truth. Turkey has very important problems, and we will travel across Anatolia, inch by inch, to complain to the citizens about those responsible for these problems."
"TURKEY IS NOT HOPELESS"
Stating that Turkey is not helpless, Dervişoğlu noted the following:
"Turkey is not hopeless, and it is not forced or condemned to the government currently in power. Let everyone be comfortable and at ease. We are here, the good people are here, and we have our cadres who have taken on the historical responsibilities formed by the good people. With these cadres, we will continue our struggle to save Turkey from these dark days and bring it together with the bright horizons of tomorrow. We are in Isparta; we will be in Yalvaç and Gelendost. If God wills, we will be in Afyonkarahisar tomorrow. Our party has a camp program organized. After executing that program, we will return to our duties at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in Ankara. We will keep the promise we made to our nation with our fellow deputies, and we will be on the roads of Anatolia. We are candidates to serve our nation with our trained cadres who demonstrate the will to solve Turkey's problems."
A journalist asked Dervişoğlu about the allegations that the İYİ Party's vote share is falling and about the resignations within the party.
"OUR VOTE SHARE HAS TRIPLED SINCE I TOOK OFFICE"
Arguing that the İYİ Party's votes have tripled since he took office, Dervişoğlu said the following regarding the resignations within the party:
"I WISH THESE RESIGNATIONS HAD NOT HAPPENED"
"There are some resignations within the İYİ Party, that is true. I wish these resignations had not happened, but resignation is a unilateral decision. If our party continues to rise under current conditions, it means we are not being negatively affected by these resignations. Some people may take their bags and leave. We do not need people's bags, we need their hearts. We are continuing our journey with those whose hearts are with us."
