Mustafa Destici's 'accomplice' response to Özgür Özel: 'There is no crime or criminal here...'

Discussions continue following the return visit paid by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to CHP leader Özgür Özel.

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli had stated in his remarks following the critical summit that "the formation of a broad-based alliance between the AK Party and the CHP is the sincere wish and desire of the MHP."

While Özel responded to Bahçeli by saying, "He should not push his accomplice toward us after bringing the country to this state," Erdoğan had declared, "It seems they could not digest our return visit. If the friend at the head of the CHP could have digested it, he would not have felt the need to make such a statement."

Great Unity Party (BBP) Chairman Mustafa Destici, a partner in the People's Alliance, also joined the polemic between Erdoğan, Özel, and Bahçeli.

"THERE IS NO CRIME OR CRIMINAL HERE"

Reacting to Özel's 'accomplice' remark, Destici said, "Mr. Özgür Özel's latest statement was not in line with this atmosphere of softening. I also do not think it is in line with the rules of courtesy. I express that I do not find the 'accomplice' characterization correct either. Therefore, there is no crime or criminal here."
