New development regarding Özgür Özel's installment housing claim: Contractors have issued a statement

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's statement regarding the fact that Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor Akın Gürlek paid installments for an apartment he purchased from the MESA Istanbul project has caused a major stir. Özel announced that the document regarding this matter would be made public. Subsequently, CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir shared the installment promissory note for the apartment in question, supporting the claims.

DEBATE BEGINS OVER INSTALLMENT HOUSING PURCHASE

With the statements from Özel and Emir, claims emerged that a luxury residence in MESA Istanbul was purchased with a low down payment and high-amount installments. The CHP side began to question whether such a sale would be possible for ordinary citizens. These claims, which attracted public attention, quickly turned into a growing debate.

Following the escalation of the debate, the Mesa-Artaş-Kantur-Akdaş Business Partnership issued a statement providing information about the terms of the housing sale in question. The business partnership stated that the sale of the apartment purchased by Akın Gürlek took place on December 25, 2025.

EMPHASIS ON "MISINFORMATION" IN THE STATEMENT

In response to the misinformation circulating in the public sphere, the statement included the following remarks:

“Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor Mr. Akın Gürlek, like all our other customers, has purchased one apartment from our project. The sales price applied to him is no different from the prices applied to any of our customers, and the transaction was carried out based on the sales prices valid two years ago.”

This statement was made in order to convey accurate information to the public following the debates.

STATEMENTS MADE REGARDING THE HOUSING SALE

The Mesa-Artaş-Kantur-Akdaş Business Partnership emphasized that the pricing throughout the entire process was completely transparent and in accordance with standards, in response to the statements made regarding Akın Gürlek's apartment purchase.
