CHP Chairman Özgür Özel visited former chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu at his office in Ankara's Mustafa Kemal Paşa neighborhood. The meeting between the two lasted 1 hour, and no statement was made following the meeting.

However, it was learned that although local elections were brought up during the meeting between Kılıçdaroğlu and Özel, no specific candidate names were discussed for any region.

According to a report by Eray Görgülü from T24, the meeting included evaluations of the campaigns to be conducted, particularly in Istanbul and Ankara, and also touched upon the working retreat held last weekend in Antalya with the participation of all members of parliament. It was also learned that Özel told Kılıçdaroğlu that he had listened to the criticisms of all deputies at the retreat and stated, "We will do everything in our power to ensure that the parliamentary group acts in unity."

AN INVITATION FROM ÖZEL TO KILIÇDAROĞLU

It was also stated that Özel conveyed to Kılıçdaroğlu his previously public promise that "the group management will be renewed by election every two years." It was reported that Kılıçdaroğlu expressed his views to Özel regarding the importance of ensuring unity and solidarity within the party ahead of the local elections. On the other hand, Özgür Özel also extended an invitation to Kılıçdaroğlu for the gala dinner of the CHP's next parliamentary retreat.
