Oğuzhan Uğur cancels all programs following detention! 'No one can make their voice heard in this environment'
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu was detained in an operation carried out in the early hours of the morning. Targeted with accusations such as "leading a criminal organization, bribery, and aiding a terrorist organization," İmamoğlu was taken to the police headquarters on Vatan Street along with numerous other individuals. Babala TV founder Oğuzhan Uğur announced that he has canceled all his broadcasts, stating that the environment is oppressive.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor and expected CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, whose university diploma was canceled last night, was detained by police who arrived at his home in the early hours of this morning. İmamoğlu, who was detained and whose home was searched during the operation conducted in the morning, was brought to the Istanbul Police Department on Vatan Street around 10:00 AM. It was noted that the statement issued by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office used the term 'leader of a criminal organization' for Ekrem İmamoğlu.
The operation was justified by accusations such as "being a manager of a criminal organization," "being a member of a criminal organization," "extortion," "bribery," and "qualified fraud." It was stated that the investigation was conducted "within the scope of the money-counting footage reflected in the press" and "the MASAK report." In this context, 100 detention warrants were issued.

"TERROR" ACCUSATION
On the other hand, it was announced that detention warrants were also issued for İmamoğlu and 6 others on charges of "aiding the PKK terrorist organization." In the statement made by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was alleged that "individuals linked to the PKK were hired at the İBB and its subsidiaries."
NUMEROUS NAMES TARGETED
It was announced that detention warrants were issued for 106 people, including Tuncay Yılmaz, Fatih Keleş, Ertan Yıldız, Şişli Mayor Resul Emrah Şahan, İBB Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat, İBB Medya AŞ Chairman of the Board Murat Ongun, IPA President Buğra Gökce, Reform Institute President Mehmet Ali Çalışkan, İmamoğlu's campaign advisor Necati Özkan, and artist Ercan Saatçi.
As of 10:40 AM, 84 people for whom warrants were issued have been detained. İBB Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat and İBB-affiliated Istanbul Medya AŞ Chairman of the Board Murat Ongun also announced on social media that they had been detained.

"WE DO NOT THINK ANYONE CAN MAKE THEIR VOICE HEARD IN THIS ENVIRONMENT"
While the news of the detentions was on the agenda, Babala TV founder Oğuzhan Uğur made an announcement on his X account.
Uğur stated, "We are postponing the broadcast dates of our Mevzular Açık Mikrofon Special program, which was set to air today and where we left the floor to the victims of the Grand Kartal Hotel Fire; our Saygı1 mor ve ötesi episode, which we were going to broadcast on Friday; and our Mevzular Açık Mikrofon programs, which we planned to air over the weekend and where we left the floor to Yasemin Minguzzi, the dear mother of Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi who was murdered in recent weeks, and Zuhal Akman, the dear mother of Ata Emre Akman who was murdered in recent months. We do not think we can make anyone's voice heard in this environment."
