Özel spoke at the CHP camp: 'Psychological power will pass to us once again'

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel made statements at his party's camp organized for the local elections in Antalya.

Highlights from Özel's statements are as follows:

EMPHASIS ON PSYCHOLOGICAL POWER

As Atatürk said, the first congress of the Republican People's Party is the Sivas Congress. That is why, for us, the Chairman does not give orders to the hall; the halls determine the vision. We will discuss how the Republican People's Party will work, what it will do, how to stand tall by calling wrong what is wrong, and how we will conduct politics strongly both on the streets and in parliament.

We believe that we will increase the number of CHP municipalities. If we maintain our municipalities from five years ago exactly as they are, if we win new municipalities on top of that, if we increase our votes, and if we boost our morale, the psychological power in Turkey will pass to us once again.

We have previously expressed our discomfort with our passports being handed over to others in exchange for money. This madness is driving up rental prices in Antalya and Muğla.

The state should provide support to civil servants assigned to places where rents are high.

Those imprisoned due to Gezi are there for us.

The AKP embraces corruption and irregularity.

Our nation will reward CHP municipalities on March 31.

WE RESPECT EVERY DECISION

We paid a visit to Akşener. We stated that winning together would strengthen the opposition. They pointed to the GİK meeting on Monday. We respect every decision that will emerge. I hope a decision for cooperation will come out, but I would like to state that we would also understand the opposite situation.
