Özel: The lie that 'social benefits will be cut if CHP comes to power' has been debunked

Addressing citizens from atop a campaign bus under heavy rain at a public rally held at the Devlet Bahçeli City Square in the Salihli district of Manisa, Özgür Özel said that mayoral candidate Mazlum Nurlu would increase the district's prosperity with the services he would provide if elected.

"WE ALSO HAVE AN ALLIANCE, AND THE NAME OF THAT ALLIANCE IS THE TURKEY ALLIANCE"

Reminding that they would be competing against the "People's Alliance" in the local elections, Özel said, "We also have an alliance, and the name of that alliance is the Turkey Alliance. Those who love Turkey, who love Salihli, who love their nation, are waiting for support for the Turkey Alliance. At the end of great struggles, here in Manisa, in my hometown, I am giving the good news under the rain. On April 1, there will be a CHP administration in Salihli, there will be a CHP administration in Manisa. The polls show it, the streets show it," he said.

"THE SOCIAL BENEFITS WE PROVIDED IN ISTANBUL, ANKARA, ADANA, AND ANTALYA HAVE INCREASED EXACTLY FIVEFOLD"

Stating that they believe they will win this election by working tirelessly until March 31, Özel continued as follows:

"The lie told in the past that 'social benefits will be cut if CHP comes to power' has been debunked. The social benefits we provided in Istanbul, Ankara, Adana, and Antalya have increased exactly fivefold. We are coming for this. We are the Turkey Alliance, the Manisa Alliance, the Salihli Alliance. We are the Turkey Alliance that leaves no one behind, that does not exclude the poor, the tradesmen, the farmers, the workers, the elderly, or the youth. We are seeking your votes to protect the interests of the people against those who only protect the interests of certain circles in this country."

Özel, who asked for support for CHP's Salihli mayoral candidate Mazlum Nurlu and Manisa Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate Ferdi Zeyrek, took a tour of the city on the campaign bus after his speech.
