Sharp rebuke from Özel to Erdoğan! 'We see the declaration of war and we accept it!'

Responding to President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's words, "The biggest radish is still in the bag," after the MYK meeting, Özel said, "What the AK Party is doing today is a blatant declaration of war against the CHP; we see this. We are no longer sure how much longer we can respond to this hostility within the framework of politics and with a language of respect, out of respect for the voters who voted for them. We see this declaration of war and we accept it."

'WE WILL DO WHAT A PARTY THAT HAS BEEN DECLARED WAR UPON DOES'

Stating, "Tomorrow at noon, we will hold our closed group meeting with the deputies of the Republican People's Party who have been invited to Istanbul," Özel made the following remarks:

"We have our Party Assembly meeting on Sunday. We have at least one Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting every day. On Monday morning, we will hold our last, or perhaps second-to-last, Central Executive Board meeting where we will evaluate all decisions regarding the Istanbul process. At the end of these processes, we will do what a party that has been declared war upon does. Of course, in the process ahead, Tayyip Erdoğan and the components of the People's Alliance will not be pleased with us, with the response they see, or the answer they receive. That ballot box will be placed before this nation within the year 2025. They will be held accountable to the nation for what they have done. But when the day comes, they will also be held accountable to justice for the unlawful orders they have given. Those who obey their unlawful orders will also be held accountable for them."

'THE STATE IS WORKING LIKE YOUR PERSONAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY'

Stating, "I am not talking about an action process," Özel continued his words as follows:

"I am not talking about a protest process. I am talking about a process of taking over the government. I am not saying, 'Let them prepare for elections from now on.' Of course, they will leave after an election, but they should prepare to hand over the government. This country is too sacred to be left to their mercy. The people of this country; the honor, dignity, and integrity of the people of this country cannot be entrusted to a judiciary that will be under their control from now on. Today he said, 'The biggest radish is in the bag.' What is the Turkish for this? Should I explain it? The Turkish is this: all organs of the state, especially the judiciary, are under my orders and instructions. What does 'the biggest radish is in the bag' mean? Yesterday, one of my mayors was arrested. He says, 'There are bigger things than this that you don't know.' We know; if you know... For example, there is an investigation for Beşiktaş, but not for that big radish, yet if you know, it means this state is not functioning like a state. It is functioning like your personal intelligence agency. Either there is a crime, you know about it, but there is no investigation, we have no news, there is nothing. This is also a crime. If a crime is known and is being hidden by the order of Tayyip Erdoğan and they are waiting for the right time, this is also a crime, or you are fabricating crimes."

Stating, "All our elected officials are here until the weekend and Monday-Tuesday," Özel included the following statements:

"Opinions will be taken from everyone whose opinion needs to be taken. Joint and courageous decisions will be made regarding the management of a process. When the day comes, everyone who needs to know will be informed of those decisions. I am not talking about an action process, a protest process, a rally, or a march, but about the management of a process and, in the end, the takeover of the government after the election. We are now aware that keeping them in the seats they occupy any longer is the greatest evil that can be done to the property, life, personal honor, and the honor and dignity of the fathers and mothers in this country.
