Özgür Çelik announces CHP's new rally location
The CHP has designated Tuzla as the new location for its 'Defending the National Will' rally to be held in Istanbul.
The 'Defending the National Will' rallies, organized by the CHP to demand the release of its imprisoned presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, as well as to call for early elections, are continuing.
In this regard, the location and date for the party's upcoming rally in Istanbul have been determined. CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik announced that the rally will be held on Wednesday, August 6, at 20:30 at the Tuzla Coast, in front of the ITU Maritime Faculty.
PURPOSE OF THE RALLY AND CALL TO ACTION
In a post on his X account regarding the rally, Çelik stated, "We are gathering in Tuzla under the leadership of our Chairman Özgür Özel to stand against arbitrary practices and pressures, and to demand freedom for our presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu and all our fellow travelers. Our people want justice, and what the people say goes."
